Get engaged by participating in our annual Hospice Golf Tournament, attending our annual Cornerstone Dinner or learning more about our campaigns like Give Local York.
Since 1981, the Hospice Golf Tournament has raised funds to provide care to hospice clients who lack insurance and do not have the resources to pay for the care they need. Since the tournament began more than four decades ago, it has raised more than $2 million to support the ministry of hospice. Proceeds go toward closing the gap between the cost of hospice care and insurance coverage or what clients are able to afford.
The Cornerstone Award was established in 2004 to recognize significant contributions of philanthropy and to celebrate those who are active in the philanthropic community. Recipients of the award have demonstrated exceptional generosity to the York community and beyond through direct charitable support, leadership and volunteer service. Proceeds from the Cornerstone Dinner are used to provide support for individuals who are often unable to afford the care they require.
The greater York community comes together each spring to support local nonprofits, including SpiriTrust Lutheran®, as part of Give Local York (GLY), the biggest giving day in York County. Gifts designated for SpiriTrust Lutheran support our Benevolent Care Program, which enables us to help individuals who, through no fault of their own, have outlived their financial resources and cannot afford the services they need.
